Vert Beats: Who’s Vert.run?

Who’s Vert.run?

If you’ve ever wondered who the heck Vert.run is, or why we do what we do:

Here’s a nice piece about us in ActionHub! It covers all that, plus touches on Ruth Croft’s brand new training plan with us.

You can read the article here.

WHAT INSPIRED US THIS WEEK

What to be excited about:

Have you ever heard of the Skyrunner World Series–the mythical races that take place on mountaintops across the world? Well this year, just like most races, it’s been replaced with something social-distanced: the Skyrunner Virtual Series. The cool part? This means we can all take part in something epic, no matter where we are. Plus, there’s a race this Sunday: Skyrace des Matheysins which normally takes place in France.

You can read more and sign up for this Sunday’s race here.

What to watch:

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, runners from all over the world have come up with personal challenges, virtual races, FKT’s and more to keep themselves motivated and active during this hard time. This Saturday, Zach Bitter is attempting to break the 12 hour / 100 mile record on a treadmill. Here’s the link to the live coverage so you can tune in. There will be a lot of familiar ultra running names and faces commenting throughout the live–worth watching!

You can watch the attempt here.

What to watch:

Finally, we share this video about runner Emelie Forsberg and her farm in Norway, where she spends most of her time when she’s not out traveling for races. In the video, Emelie talks about how she dreamt about having a place like this since she was young and how working with the land is a very important part of her days; it helps her connect with nature beside running and skiing in the mountains. At the end of the video, there’s a Q&A with a bunch of good questions (like how do she and Kilian train with a young child.)

You can watch the video here.
