About
the Race

Rocky Racoon

This race is happening, rain or shine! It’s an ideal trail running course for both experienced runners aiming for a 100-mile personal record and rookie ultra runners looking to achieve their goals.

Participants can expect exceptional aid station support throughout the event, generous cut-off times, and a fun atmosphere for families and crews.

The course features five scenic 20-mile loops around a lake, with wooden bridges and towering East Texas pines, offering gently undulating trails covered in pine needles. While the course is rock-free, runners should be cautious of tree roots.

In partnership with USWE, participants can enjoy exclusive discounts on their gear. Additionally, this race is a qualifying event for the Western States 100; runners who finish the 100-mile race within 30 hours will qualify for the lottery to enter the Western States race.

If you’re a monthly subscriber, yes! You can switch between training plans however you’d like. Just go to your dashboard and choose the “change or restart plan” option. This will take you to your training plan menu. Of course, we do recommend that you finish a training plan once you’ve started it (unless you find it to be way to difficult or easy), since they’re designed to build your fitness over weeks. When you leave a training plan in the middle, you’ll miss key workouts; and when you start a new plan, you’ll start it from the beginning. This is to make sure that you train safely and responsibly, and that the skills you develop are built to last. We encourage you to stick out each plan, challenge yourself in a race or other personal challenge, and then to start a new plan with fresh legs.
