HIIT- leg strength
a living room workout for trail runners
HIIT - leg strength by vert.run

Right now, a lot of us trail runners can’t leave our homes due to COVID-19–ourselves included. So, that’s why we at Vert.run have designed this HIIT leg strength routine–made specifically for trail runners.
We know a lot of you are worried about losing trail strength. This routine–combined with our free indoor training plan–is what we most recommend to maintain your fitness during these tough times.
While following along with our HIIT leg strength video, remember:
- To take a break if you need one. We repeat each exercise for 1 minute, but if you’re just starting out, follow along for 30 seconds and then rest for another 30. Over time, you’ll get to a full minute.
- Quality is greater than quantity. We’d much rather have you do fewer repetitions–but to do them well–than to do them poorly. By starting low, you’ll build a solid foundation from which you can later do more reps.
need some extra motivation during these tough times?

We know that most runners are staying indoors right now because of the Coronavirus situation. So are we. That’s why we’ve just designed an at-home training plan for trail runners. It’s free. It’s 4 weeks long. And it’s designed to keep you motivated, in shape, and endorphin-filled during these tough times.
