About The training

With just 13 weeks Trans Gran Canaria, we’ve crafted a focused training plan to get you race-ready! Your journey will strengthen your legs for relentless elevation changes, combining uphill/downhill workouts with key strength training. Trans Gran Canaria is an incredible challenge, early on the season, where you will also have to prepare your heat tolerance, but don’t worry, your coach will guide you trough that protocol too. 

Your coach will fine-tune your plan weekly, check in, and keep you motivated every step of the way.

Trans Gran Canaria Races
 
The Transgrancanaria Classic is a challenging 126-kilometer race with nearly 7,000 meters of elevation gain, offering a unique physical and psychological experience over 12 to 30 hours.
 
Runners start in Teror, passing through stunning landscapes like the Nublo Rural Park and Tejeda Caldera, before moving to the drier southern region of the island.
 
The Transgrancanaria Marathon features a tough ascent followed by a technical descent on trails like La Plata, with aid stations in Tunte and Ayagaures before reaching Maspalomas.
 
The shorter Transgrancanaria Half starts in Tunte, showcasing the breathtaking La Plata trail and finishing in Tejeda.

If you’re a monthly subscriber, yes! You can switch between training plans however you’d like. Just go to your dashboard and choose the “change or restart plan” option. This will take you to your training plan menu. Of course, we do recommend that you finish a training plan once you’ve started it (unless you find it to be way to difficult or easy), since they’re designed to build your fitness over weeks. When you leave a training plan in the middle, you’ll miss key workouts; and when you start a new plan, you’ll start it from the beginning. This is to make sure that you train safely and responsibly, and that the skills you develop are built to last. We encourage you to stick out each plan, challenge yourself in a race or other personal challenge, and then to start a new plan with fresh legs.
